You Are Not What People Say Who You Are

Grace, love and peace to each and every one of you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

His mercy endured forever. Amen.
His love endureth forever. Amen.

We need to know who we are.

If we do not know who we are, then we will not be able to experience the abundance of God.  So God’s promises are true  and it will come to pass when you know who you are. 

What do Some people say about themselves
Some people say, I am poor. 
If I ask who you are, they’ll say, I’m poor. 
Some people say, I’m wretched.
Some people say, I’m useless.
Some people say, I’m worthless.
Some people say, I’m a failure.
And while some others say, I’m a successful person.
Some people say, I’m rich.
Some people say, I’m proud.

But that is not who you are. 
You are someone different.  Let me, let me say this, okay? Many people are  telling them who they are based on what their parents have said. 
Some people say, I am like this because my parents told me to live like this.

I am what I am. 
And some people are living based on what others have said. 

And they say, I am what I am because they said like this.
And some people say, based on the society, with their talk and their words, they say, I am this. 
Let me tell you this.

Who are you? 
You are not what others tell. 
You are not what the situations tell.
You are not what the family has said.

You are  what Christ has said about you.
Because your neighbour’s, your friends, your family, your relatives, your society did not create you. It is God who created you in his image and in his likeness. what he says, that is what you are. Hallelujah. Never ever tell who you are based on what others are telling.

They tell you, they tell who you are based on their experiences.  I am good  for those people whom I have done good  and I’m bad to those people who have not done good.  So now,  based on what they say, I don’t become a good person or I don’t become a bad person.  I am designed in the image and in the likeness of God. So what God tells me, that is what I am. 

On January 1st, uh, so we went to the, uh, Church Street.  Yes, just like that. We just went on first Sunday, first day of the year. So we just, we went there for Church Street. We went around 10 o’clock, We just went for dinner.

Why should I give her the burger? Now, think about this.  You know, many times, for her, maybe first I was a very good person  when I wanted to give the burger, but when I asked for the rose, suddenly I became a bad person for her. Why? Because now I’m asking something in return for it.  Now listen to this.

When people  talk about you, they talk about you based on their experience. But that is not who you are.  You are made in the image and in the likeness of God. So you are who God tells you are. Amen. So now I’m going to talk about four points.  who you are.  I’m telling this again.

Don’t consider what I tell about you.
Don’t consider what others talk about you.
Don’t consider what the society talks about you.

Suddenly, the society tells you are a failure.  Yeah. Most of the people, they go through this, all the, especially the engineers. Okay, they go through this stage. They’re called as failures and suddenly they get a package of like say 16 lakh or 20 lakh or 30 lakh per annum and suddenly say you are successful.

The people who said you are a failure suddenly they said you are successful.
What happened all of a sudden?

Maybe for five years you did not have job and everyone said you are a failure, failure, failure and now suddenly you got a job suddenly you became a successful person for them. Why? Because they’re seeing the circumstances.

They’re seeing what you’re going through. Now listen to this carefully.
Job was a very rich man. He was honoured in his entire town.  He was honoured by most of the people, his friends. But when struggles came, they said, you have done something wrong. You have done something wrong. That is why you’ve fallen to this stage.

Now listen to this carefully. Till that time they said Job was righteous, but suddenly because of the testing that we know that okay But they didn’t know because of the testing that Job went through they said you are not righteous person So people’s opinion will change  People’s talk over you will change.

No suddenly there was one pastor who has been trolled too much. This pastor was trolled for a song that he sang.  He sang in a very different language and everyone are making fun of him.

You know, Telugu, Telugu language. Okay, not Telugu language. That’s a Khoya language.  So he was singing and then after two days they came to know that this pastor has adopted almost 250 orphans and he’s feeding them. Now all of a sudden everyone’s saying he’s a very great man.  Two days before because of the song that he sang everyone trolling him what kind of song is this but all of a sudden when they came to know that he has adopted 250 children and he’s taking care of them and everyone minds have changed all of a sudden.

You’re able to understand  people’s mind is very fickle.  People’s mind changes very quickly.  The moment, one moment they’ll say you’re a sinner, the other moment they will say you’re a righteous person.  You know, Paul landed in an island called Malta.  And there, he lands there because the ship was broken.

And the ship was broken, they said, this fellow is a great sinner.  Okay, he escaped the sea and suddenly he was taking the sticks and suddenly one snake catches hold of his hand. They said, he’s the worst sinner now because he escaped the sea, but now the snake has caught hold of him. So they were all waiting for Paul to die.

What kind of people, right? 
First of all, he has escaped the sea, and now a snake has bit him, or a snake is holding on to his hand, he shakes it off, and now that is a very poisonous snake. So now they were waiting for Paul to die any moment. So they saw and saw and saw and saw, nothing happened to Paul, they said, you are god.

What a change. Drastic change from a sinner to god all of a sudden. What happened to these people? They saw what was going around them. They did not see who Paul was.  You’re with me?  People are seeing what is around you, they don’t see what is inside you. That’s the reason the Bible clearly says, the one who is in me is stronger and powerful than the one who is in the world.

Hallelujah! Come on, can we all lift up our hands and say, Hallelujah! 
People cannot see who you are because they see only your outward appearance, but God sees your inward appearance. He is inside you and when he is inside you, nothing can shake you. Ten thousand may fall, ten thousand may fall, but no harm shall reach you because the one who is in you is stronger than the one who is in the world.

You are who you are based on what God tells, not what others tell.

You know, I want this, this message to go in deep inside your heart. 
Who am I?  Who am I?
We need to know the reality.  Come on, you did not create me. 
When you did not create me, what you say doesn’t bother me. 
My parents gave birth to me, they did not create me. 
What my parents tell, I don’t bother, because they have not created me.
My relatives did not create me.  So what they say, I’m not bothered. 

Except unless you’re doing very wrong. And they’re trying to correct you, you need to be bothered. Apart from that, if you’re doing right and still they’re speaking bad about you, speaking something bad about you, you don’t need to be bothered.

The society, what they’re talking about me, I’m not bothered because they did not create me. I was created, you were created in the image and in the likeness of God. So what God tells, that should bother you. Hallelujah. 

Four Things We need to Know

1. Child of God
John 1:12
But to all who did receive him He gave them the right to be children of god to those who believe in his Name hallelujah.

The first one is You are the child  of God. 
You’re not an orphan. 
You’re not a slave of God.
You’re not a slave of fear.
You’re not a slave of people.
You’re not a slave of someone. Y
ou are a child of God.

Let this truth sink into you.  Let it go deep into your heart because He is our Father and we are His children.

Can we all say this? I am a child of God. 
Can we all declare this to our spirit? I am a child of God. 

Now many people they’re getting depressed because they don’t know that they’re children of God.  Many people are trying to commit suicide. Why? Because they do not know that they’re children of God. Many people are going through tough times because they do not know they’re children of God.

Come on, Bible clearly says one amazing verse. It clearly says even before you ask your Father in heaven knows what you need.  When you are a child of God, you’ll be so confident saying that my God is my Father and He is going to take care of everything.  Now, there’s one more verse, amazing verse. If you have read this, you’ll be shocked actually.

And this verse says, you have  not been receiving because you have not been asking.  Did you ever read this verse?  You’re not receiving because you’re not asking. Oh wait, wait, wait, what is this?  No, that’s not the verse. Matthew 7:7 it says ask and shall be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and shall be opened to you.

No, that’s not the verse. There’s one more verse which says, you’re not receiving because you’re not asking.  What is this?  I’ve been asking pastor. Yeah. You’ve been asking like a slave.  You have been asking like a foreigner. You’ve been asking like a stranger.  When you need to ask, you need to know who you are.

When you know who you are, your authority changes. There was a rich man.  He got married, but he did not have children. And so he went to an orphanage and he bought a child. He went and adopted a child. And this was there. This rich man, gave him the authority. He said be free but this guy was going to the slaves and he’s saying please give me food  and he was going to the Servants and he’s saying please give me clothes he was begging them and the father saw saw saw him saw him saw him and he said  and he gave one Paper  and in this paper, he said the will says Whatever I have belongs to you  Now listen to this carefully  And this child, though he was adopted, though he was taken as a child, but his mentality of orphan did not go.

That is why he was still begging with the slave. He’s still begging with the servants. He’s begging for food. He’s begging for clothes. He’s begging for money.  But then he realised that he is the heir of this rich man and whatever the rich man had belongs to him when he understood this truth.

That is when he became a child now Listen to this carefully your Father in heaven has given a letter for you, that is what is that is what you’re holding in your hand. The Bible is the letter that has been given to you  Why? To tell that whatever I have belongs to you. The earth and the heaven and the oceans and name it.

Everything is created by God and that God is telling I have given you authority over everything. That letter you need to read.  Hallelujah.  You are a child of God. You’re not been receiving because you’re not asking like a child of God. You’re asking like a slave, like a stranger, like a foreigner. You’re still begging.

When you know who you are,  that is when your prayer will be effective.  First thing, you are a child of God. Remember this, four points, never forget it.  Your life is going to change once you understand who you are. 

2. New Creation
2nd Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away and look New things have come.

The second thing, who you are, is that you are a new creation. Hallelujah.

We are a new creation. Old things have passed.  No, still we are like, no pastor, I’m still the old.  2025 will come. 2035 also come. 2045 also come. I’ll remain the same. Sorry, you’re not allowed to remain the same.  Only God can remain the same yesterday, today and forever. You and I need to change. Hallelujah.

You are a new creation.  All things have passed. Now listen to this. We all know this story about a rich man having two sons  in the Bible. Do you know this parable?  The eldest son was very faithful. The eldest son was doing all the work. The youngest son, since you all know I’m going very quickly, the youngest son said, please give my money, give my share.

He took the money, he went and gave it. He lost all the things. He did every kind of gambling and did every, he had all kind of entertainment and he lost all the money. And then he’s coming back to his father. And now when he’s coming back to the father, he’s saying to the father, Father, take me as a slave.

Because he was coming with the old mentality.  You’re still coming with the old mentality, but father embraced him and father said put him new clothes Put a new clothes on him put the new ring put the new sandals Put the new things upon my son.

This is what bible is telling Maybe you are coming with a past experience.
Maybe you are coming with old things

But god’s saying no you are a new creation You might be you might be corrupted with various things. You might have done wrong things but once you believe in Jesus, you are a new creation. Hallelujah! And this is a very good news for us. 

New creation, no one is excited. 
Festival, everyone is excited.
But change in your heart, no one is excited.

God is saying, you are a new creation.
You are not an old creation.

Satan tells based on your past, based on your old things. But God says, no, no, you are my child.  You are my child.  No one can talk bad about you.  No one can say anything about you because you are my child. I have made you a new creation.

Second thing, you are a new creation. Can we all declare this? I am a new creation  with conviction.

So two things we learned so far. 

You are a child of God, but I am a child of God. Second thing.  I am a new creation. You know, don’t allow Satan to take you through the guilt trip.  Satan always puts guilt trip. Do you know that  it puts more guilt on you?
Saying that you have done this. You have done that. You are not eligible to receive the blessing. You’re not a child of God. You lost the blessing. Now, how many of you ever sinned? Don’t lift your hands up.  After you’re sinning, you thought, okay, God is not going to be pleased with me.  And you are like, not even willing to pray.

Why? Because, from now on, I think I cannot go to God. I cannot go to the  God’s throne of grace.
Why did I do this?  I think God is not pleased. Yeah, God is not pleased with it, but he has not rejected you. He still says, my child, come back to me.

Come back to me. I will give you, I will give you forgiveness. You repent with all your heart. I’m going to give you a new heart, a new creation, a new self.  Hallelujah.  No, never ever allow Satan to take you to the guilt trip. Never allow Satan to tell that you are bad, you’re worst, you’re worst sinner. Tell him I know it and my God also know it.

You don’t need to bother, you don’t need to bother about me. No, every time Satan comes and tells you, tell him I know it and God also knows it. That’s enough. That settles the matter. You know, when God knows it, everything settles the matter. Do you know that? If God knows, he will definitely work it out.  You know, you have to understand that you are a new creation.

You’re not a old creation. Old creation is gone. It’s corrupted. It’s gone. Now you’re a new creation.

3. Temple of God
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
 Don’t you know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit? Who is in you, whom you have from God. You are not your own, for you are bought at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body.

Third one, you are the sanctuary of God. Hallelujah. You are the temple of God.
Who are you?  See, this is what, this changes a lot, right?

You are not a temple of smoking.
You’re not a temple of drinking.
You’re not a temple of adulterers.
You’re not a temple of liars.
You’re not a temple of hypocrisy.
You’re not a temple of,worldly things, the lust of the eyes, lust of flesh, and pride of life.

But you are the temple of God. That changes everything.
Because where the presence of God is, there the blessing is there.

Where God’s presence is there your temple changes completely.
When Solomon built the temple, the priests could not go inside because the presence of the Lord came. But later on, over a period of time, we know that the temple was destroyed.

And how was the temple destroyed if God’s presence was there?  God’s presence left them and that is why they could destroy the temple.  Now listen to this. When God is in you, your body is glorified body.  When Moses was coming down the mountain, people could not see his face. Why? Because God’s glory was shining on his face.

Today I want to tell you, you are God’s sanctuary. Satan is telling, no you are not. Satan is telling you are not worthy. Satan is telling you are worthless. Satan is telling you don’t fit here at all.

All you have to embrace it. I am God’s temple. My body is God’s temple. It’s not the temple of Satan. It’s not the temple of sinners. It’s not the temple for someone. It is a temple of God.  Hallelujah.  The third one is you are the temple of God. You are God’s sanctuary.  He wants to cleanse you.  First one, who are you?

Tell it, tell it with more, uh, what do you say, enthusiasm, tell it with more conviction.  Who are you?  I’m a child of God. Tell it to Satan so that Satan will not come closer to you.  Tell it in such a way that, I’m a child of God, I’m a child of God, I’m a child of God. Whatever promise you get, you say, I’m a child of God.

Every promises are amen in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. What are you? Second one.  You are a new creation. I am a new creation. So whatever you’re seeing in me, maybe you’re seeing my past, no problem. You are, you are still in the past.  If you want to see something present, please see the new creation that God has created in me.

Create, oh Lord, create a new heart in me. That’s what the Bible clearly says. You know, I always say people who are, uh, who are still seeing your past, they’re outdated  because you have, you have grown and advanced in the word of God so much. That they don’t, they don’t understand. I was talking to one of my friend.

He said, what man, you became such a big preacher and all. You’re, you’re on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram. You have a lot of views and likes and subscribers. I said, yeah, you did not see my new new self. That’s why you’re talking about like this. He said, what happened? I said, I’m a church pastor now, not just in Bangalore, in other places also.

He said, what man, you’ve become so popular. I thought you would not be fit even in Gandipuram also. That’s what he said. Okay. Because you are not, you’re not even talking. I said, you are so outdated, man.  Okay. You know, I’ve gone to various places, various countries, now you’re still in Gandipuram.  Let me tell you, some people who are seeing your past, they’re still outdated.

You should feel pity for them. Say, okay, no problem, okay. No, it’s okay, leave them, okay, they’re still outdated. Now, when you see an outdated phone, what do you say? Aiyyo, papa. Okay, keep it. Okay. You know, God has updated you so much with His new creation. And you are a new sanctuary to God. Hallelujah. Never ever allow people to look down on you.

God is blessing you so much. You are a child of God. You’re a new creation. You’re a sanctuary of God. Now, this one gets more better.

2nd Corinthians 5:21
He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Hallelujah.

We are the righteousness of God. You know, many of us are trying to do many things to get that righteousness. Do you know that people are giving Food they’re doing charity and all things so that they can get righteousness But Bible says you are the righteousness of God  
Oh my God, this is this is really wonderful.

Listen to this carefully. Listen to this carefully Noah was righteous.
The entire world was destroyed, but Noah was standing  tall. 
Nothing happened to him and to his family. Why? Because God protects the righteous person.  That’s not. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

Suddenly there’s a news going on.  There’s a new virus.  Everyone. Yes. Oh my God. It’s like COVID isms. Okay. Again, there’s going to give some quarantine and, uh, social distancing and all those things. Listen to this carefully.  When you are the righteousness of God, thousand will fall. 10, 000 will fall. Nothing shall come closer to you.

Hallelujah. God. protects the righteous. No matter how many viruses come, no matter how many problems come, we will still remain the same. I always tell this, until the time of my death what God has ordained to me, not even one sickness shall touch me.  You know, until, not even one day will reduce, you know that?

No, no matter how many viruses come, no matter how many things, when my day of death comes, I will go happily to the presence of God.  Okay, until then I will still keep doing ministry, you know, I want to encourage every one of you Don’t be afraid of all the sickness. Yeah, you have to maintain the rules You have to maintain the social distance, but don’t live in fear  Don’t live in fear because you are the righteousness of god when you are the righteousness of god God will protect the righteous.

He will not leave you nor forsake you.

4. Righteousness of God
You can tell me, you can tell, you can tell Satan, you can tell others, I am the righteousness of God. Maybe you are seeing my sinful side, you are seeing the other side of the coin, not the best side of my coin.

Now I’m a righteous person. Now listen to this carefully. Saul was a biggest sinner. 
Saul, the epistle writer or the Bible.  He was the worst sinner but when God changed him, he became the righteousness of God and people started to accept. Now think about this, a person was persecuting Christians, wrote 14 epistles in the Bible.

It’s almost half of New Testament. Do you know that  in 27 books? There are 14 books are written by paul  So it is more than half of it How can a person who’s persecuting can write good about Jesus, because he became the righteousness of God  You and I are righteousness of God. You don’t need to Put your head down saying satan is putting me down.

You know, people are people are really crying today. Do you know that?  Why they’re crying? Because their consciousness is like, oh, you are worst. Yeah, when your consciousness is pricking, repent. When you repent, you’ll get over that sin. But if you’re not repenting, it’ll still keep pricking you. But there is something that Satan keeps telling, you are not fit for anything.

You are worst. That’s what Satan tells. 
But God does know you are the best because you are the righteousness of God. Hallelujah. Four things. Actually, this was supposed to be, uh, four weeks meditation.  But since you people don’t come for Bible study, nor for women’s meeting, nor for men’s meeting, nor for fasting prayers, nor for anything because of your busy schedule, because you’re so busy that you’re in the old life and you’re not seeing the new life, okay?

So that is why I had to, uh, bring in all the four topics into one Sunday, okay? I hope that you will start meditating on the scriptures. From now on, Don’t tell, I belong to so and so caste. No, you say, I belong. to God. I am a child of God.  I am not an old creation. I am a new creation. I am the sanctuary of God.

I am the temple of God. And fourth one is, I am the righteousness of God. Hallelujah.

Are you ready to pray?  Are you ready to confess? And by the way, today you’re not going to say praise the Lord.  You’re going to say one of these points. You’re going to say, I am a child of God, or you’re going to say, I am a new creation, or you’re going to say, I am the sanctuary of God, or you’re going to say, I’m the righteousness of God.

Come on, let’s all close our eyes. We’re going to pray. We’re going to pray.  We’re going to pray.  We’re going to worship the Almighty God. We’re going to thank God.  We’re going to lift up our hands to God and thank him for everything that he has done. Maybe you, you have been, you have been put down by Satan in every area of your life.

Maybe you have been trampled down. Maybe you have been crushed. But don’t forget who you are, who you are in Christ Jesus.  Remember who you are in Christ Jesus. You are a child of God.  You’re no longer a slave. You’re no longer  a burden to someone. You’re no longer  someone’s  mistake.  You’re no longer an orphan.

You are the child of God. Declare it. Declare, I am the child of God. Satan cannot put me down. I am a child of God. I am a new creation.  My old things have passed.  I become new.  I am the sanctuary of God.

I’m the sanctuary of God.  I’m the temple of God.

I am  the righteousness of God.

Heartfully just declare this. I  am a child of God.

Let this word bring revival.  Let this word bring a change in you.  Let this word  transform you. Let this word bring something new.  Let the anointing of God flow over you.  Don’t  ask like beggars.  Don’t ask like strangers.  Ask like a child of God.  Ask with the authority that God has given. You are a new creation.

You are the temple of God.  And you are the righteousness of God. Let not satan  put you down. Let not satan  trample you. Let not satan crush you. But let the spirit of God give redemption to you. One last time we’re going to say I’m a child of God. I am a child of God, I am a child of God, I am a child of God.

Oh, I am a new creation.  I am  a new  creation.  I am a sanctuary, a sanctuary. I am the I am. I am. I am. I am the righteousness

of God. Lord, we worship you, Jesus. Lord, we come before you for your presence. Thank you, Lord. Thank you for giving us this opportunity.  Lord, we just  give our lives to you. Let your name be glorified. Let your name be lifted high. Let this word be a blessing to each and every one of us. In Jesus name we pray.
