Grace, Love and Peace to each and every one of you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
We have been learning about KIller and last week we learnt about Killer of the Word of God:
Verse 19 – When anyone hears the word about the kingdom and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the one sown along the path.
2. Pressure and Persecution
And the one sown on rocky ground—this is one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy. 21 Yet he has no root in himself, but is short-lived. When pressure or persecution comes because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
22. Now the one sown among the thorns—this is one who hears the word, but the worries of this age and the seduction of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
Thoughts play an important role in any person’s life.
Thoughts can build us or destroy us.
As an individual we neglect the thoughts that are coming into our life and when we don’t channel the thoughts in the right way we will end up in wrong paths.
There are two kinds of thoughts:
* Positive thoughts and
* Negative thoughts
Who knows our thoughts ?
1 Corinthians 2:11 – No human or spirit knows our thoughts
For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
Who else knows our thoughts ?
Psalm 139:2 – God knows our thoughts
You know my thoughts before I think them.

How do thoughts define us?
Mark 7:20-23
He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
for everything you do flows from it.
Who can kill the thoughts that are in our mind
Let us study from Adam and Eve
Genesis 3:4-7
4 “No! You will not die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “In fact, God knows that when you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 Then the woman saw that the tree was good for food and delightful to look at, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom. So she took some of its fruit and ate it; she also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made loincloths for themselves.*
Satan put doubt but it was Eve that killed the thought
2. Pride kills our thoughts
Proverbs 21:4
Proverbs 21:24
The proud and arrogant person—“Mocker” is his name— behaves with insolent fury.
Example Nebuchadnezzar was chased into forest because of his pride
3. Hard Heartedness kills our thoughts
Ephesians 4:18
They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.
John 12:40
“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.”
4. Ignorance kills our thoughts
2 Timothy 2:23
But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels.
Ephesians 4:18
They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.
How not to kill our thoughts
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the ideas and thoughts of the heart.
