Why Mothers Prayers Are So strong? You got to know –

In Luke 7, Jesus observed a huge funeral procession in Nain. The entire town was present. He observed the young men and women weeping. He observed the pastors and apostles weeping. He observed the elders weeping. He observed the fathers weeping. He observed the children weeping. He observed the sadness on people’s faces. Nothing seemed to move Him, until HE SAW THE MOTHER.

The bible says He had compassion when He saw her and immediately raised her boy from the dead. (Luke 7:12-15). It was the cry of a mother that moved the Heart of God. Still today, Mothers who cry before the Lord for their families, for their marriages, for their homes move the Heart of God.

When Mothers stop praying their families (especially their children) perish. Satan gets a foothold and starts to destroy the home, yet when they return to their rightful place as the anchor of the home, demonic strongholds get demolished. In Psalms 17, 36, 57, 63, and 91 God’s role is likening to that of a Mother.

As a Mother protects, upholds and defends her children, so does God also protect us under the shadow of His Wings. We find refuge there and can hide there until the danger is over.

A mother’s role is so vital that a father cannot get his prayers answered if he dishonours/ disrespects her (1 Peter 3:7). Because, of this favour over mothers, they are also the most attacked persons in the home.

The devil is terrified of Mothers (the powerhouse in the home). Yet the Lord has put inside Mothers grace and resilience to overcome any situation.

Today, As the woman of the home, consider yourself blessed. Consider yourself highly favoured and consider yourself dangerous when you pray !

What do you GAIN from praying to God regularly?

A woman was once asked –

What do you GAIN from praying to God regularly?

She replied –
Usually –
I don’t earn anything, but rather – I lose things !

And she quoted everything she lost praying to

God regularly –

I lost my pride.
I lost my arrogance.
I lost my greed.
I lost my urge.
I lost my anger.
I lost the lust.
I lost the pleasure of lying.
I lost the taste of sin.
I lost impatience, despair, and
discouragement.

Sometimes we pray, not to GAIN something, but to lose things that don’t allow us to grow spiritually.

Prayer educates us – strengthens us and heals us !

Prayer is the channel that connects us directly to God !

Killer Of The Word Of God

Grace, Love and Peace to each and everyone in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Matthew 13:1-9
On that day Jesus went out of the house and was sitting by the sea. 2 Such large crowds gathered around Him that He got into a boat and sat down, while the whole crowd stood on the shore.

3 Then He told them many things in parables, saying: “Consider the sower who went out to sow. 4 As he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and ate them up. 5 Others fell on rocky ground, where there wasn’t much soil, and they sprang up quickly since the soil wasn’t deep. 6 But when the sun came up they were scorched, and since they had no root, they withered. 7 Others fell among thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them. 8 Still others fell on good ground and produced a crop: some 100, some 60, and some 30 times what was sown. 9 Anyone who has ears should listen!”

Matthew 13:18-23
18 “You, then, listen to the parable of the sower: 19 When anyone hears the word about the kingdom and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the one sown along the path. 20 And the one sown on rocky ground—this is one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy. 21 Yet he has no root in himself, but is short-lived. When pressure or persecution comes because of the word, immediately he stumbles. 22 Now the one sown among the thorns—this is one who hears the word, but the worries of this age and the seduction of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. 23 But the one sown on the good ground—this is one who hears and understands the word, who does bear fruit and yields: some 100, some 60, some 30 times what was sown.”

Luke 8:15
15 But the seed in the good ground—these are the ones who, having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring, bear fruit.

Seed is the Word of God.
The Word of God will be fruitful when we hear the Word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring.

So now what kills the Word of God

1. When you don’t understand
Verse 19 – When anyone hears the word about the kingdom and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the one sown along the path.

2. Pressure and Persecution
And the one sown on rocky ground—this is one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy. 21 Yet he has no root in himself, but is short-lived. When pressure or persecution comes because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

3.  Worries of this age and seduction of wealth
22. Now the one sown among the thorns—this is one who hears the word, but the worries of this age and the seduction of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

Prayer That A Believer Should Pray

Grace, love and peace to each and everyone in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Last week we learnt from Ephesians 1:17
* To whom should our prayer be addressed to
Our Prayer should be addressed to Father in the name of Jesus.
We have boldness to enter the sanctuary through Jesus Christ
We have confidence through Christ Jesus

We also learnt that Whatever we ask to the Father in the name of Jesus we will receive it.

* We should also pray that we should receive
The Spirit of Wisdom
The Spirit of Revelation and
The Knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ

We also learnt that secret things belongs to God and whatever has been revealed it is for us and our children (Deuteronomy 29:29)

Ephesians 1:18
I pray that the perception of your mind may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints,

This verse highlights on 3 Important things
1. Perception or the insights of our mind to be enlightened
2. So we may know Hope of His calling
3. and to Know the glorious riches of God’s inheritance among the saints

This is not referring to new insights or predictions of future events. These believers already knew the facts of salvation and the believer’s future hope with God. However, Paul wants them to better understand the importance of these blessings.

1. Perception of our mind might be enlightened
The Mind plays an important role in a Christian life.
Many neglect but the Bible clearly says

Romans 12:1-2
Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Our mind should be transformed or renewed or changed if not we will not be able to discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

If our minds are not transformed we will be conformed to this age.

Our prayer should be that our minds will be transformed.

Prayer includes getting enlightened.
Our minds need to be enlightened

Perception of our mind should be enlightened.

2 Corinthians 4:3-6
But if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we are not proclaiming ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves because of Jesus. For God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ.

2. So we may Know Hope of His calling
Only when our minds are enlightened we will know.
Knowing is very important.
Many people are ignorant because they do not know the real blessings
Many people are ignorant because they do not know the reality
Many people are ignorant because they do not know the spiritual realm
Many people are ignorant because they do not know the God’s providence
Many people are ignorant because they do not know God’s work

When our minds are enlightened we will know

What will we know?
To know God’s calling or to know the Hope in God our minds need to be enlightened.

Can you see how deep this prayer takes us?
We should pray this prayer because many struggle to find their calling.

We should start praying that our minds might be enlightened so that we can know the Hope of God’s calling.

3. And to Know the glorious riches of God’s inheritance among the saints
Can we see that when our mind is renewed we will know
When our mind is enlightened we will know

We will know the Hope of His calling
We will know the glorious riches of God’s inheritance
We will know where we have the inheritance – it is among the saints

The problem with the believers is they really do not know where they belong.

The Bible keeps telling Don’t you know, Don’t you know.

Hebrews 5:11-14
11 We have a great deal to say about this, and it’s difficult to explain, since you have become too lazy to understand
12 Although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the basic principles of God’s revelation again. You need milk, not solid food. 13 Now everyone who lives on milk is inexperienced with the message about righteousness, because he is an infant. 14 But solid food is for the mature—for those whose senses have been trained to distinguish between good and evil.

Gaining Wisdom

The primary difference between the two words is that wisdom involves a healthy dose of perspective and the ability to make sound judgments about a subject while knowledge is simply knowing.
