Is it God’s will for me to be prosperous

Grace, Love and Peace to each and everyone in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Many have many doubts about prosperity.
Is it really God’s will for me to be prosperous?
Why are the worldly people more prosperous than Christians?

Firstly let us see what was the plan of God for man when He created

Genesis 2:8-14
The Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there He placed the man He had formed.
The Lord God caused to grow out of the ground every tree pleasing in appearance and good for food, including the tree of life in the middle of the garden, as well as the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

10 A river went out from Eden to water the garden. From there it divided and became the source of four rivers.
11 The name of the first is Pishon, which flows through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold.
12 Gold from that land is pure; bdellium and onyx are also there.
13 The name of the second river is Gihon, which flows through the entire land of Cush.
14 The name of the third river is the Tigris, which runs east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.

When God created:
Curse was not in God’s list for man
Pain was not in God’s list for man
Poverty was not in God’s list for man
lack was not in God’s list for man

If we see the verses, the Garden was huge and it had every kind of tree and four rivers flowed through the garden, Gold, Onyx, bdellium were in that garden.

2 Corinthians 8:9
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ: Though He was rich, for your sake He became poor, so that by His poverty you might become rich.

God became sinner so that we can be righteous
In the same way God became poor so that I can be rich.

Rich does not mean we become millionaire and billionaire.
It means that we are more than enough.

Rich means full supply.

3 John 2
Dear friend, I pray that you may prosper in every way and be in good health physically just as you are spiritually.

Prosperity comes to us:
1. Intention of Heart
2. Walking in Love
3. Tithes

1. Intention of Heart

2 Chronicles 1:8-10
And Solomon said to God: “You have shown great and faithful love to my father David, and You have made me king in his place. Lord God, let Your promise to my father David now come true. For You have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth. 10 Now grant me wisdom and knowledge so that I may lead these people, for who can judge this great people of Yours?”

God asked Solomon what you want. Solomon did not ask for money.

Our motive should be right when we pray

* Solomon’s Prayer

– Solomon was thankful to God
– His prayer was not for himself but for God and God’s people.

People are not prosperous because of their selfishness.
God does not answer the selfish prayers.

When our motives are pure for God’s work – then God will bless us.
God is not just looking at words but He His looking at His heart.

2 Chronicles 1:11
God said to Solomon, “Since this was in your heart, and you have not requested riches, wealth, or glory, or for the life of those who hate you, and you have not even requested long life, but you have requested for yourself wisdom and knowledge that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king,

In My heart
Our heart is very important when we pray and believe.

God is testifying about Solomon.
Solomon’s heart had a thought about God, God’s work and God’s people

When your heart is right – even the devil cannot hold anything in your life.

2 Chronicles 1:12
wisdom and knowledge are given to you. I will also give you riches, wealth, and glory, unlike what was given to the kings who were before you, or will be given to those after you.”

2. Walking in Love

Galatians 5:14
For the entire law is fulfilled in one statement: Love your neighbor as yourself.

Proverbs 3:9-10
Honor the LORD with your possessions
and with the first produce of your entire harvest;
then your barns will be completely filled, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

3. Tithes

1. Paying Tithes is not the Law

Abraham paid the tithe before the Law
He paid tithe 400 years before he paid to Melchizedek
Isaac and Jacob paid.
They honoured God with their tithes.
They did not pay out of fear but of love and honour towards God.

2. Jesus spoke about Tithes Matthew 23:23

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You pay a tenth of mint, dill, and cumin, yet you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. These things should have been done without neglecting the others.

Isaiah 1:19

If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.

Is it God’s will to be prosperous and the answer is Yes
Is it God’s will to be prosperous and the answer is Yes
It is God’s will to be prosperous and the answer is Yes
