Grace, Love and Peace to each and everyone in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Knowing what belongs to us will give us a greater idea of who we are, what we can ask and what we can claim.
As a believer there are certain truths that we need to understand and if we don’t know or understand we will be doing everything wrong.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come.
When we are born again, the Bible says that we become a new creature in Christ.
The new creature Paul is referring to is the inward man.
2 Corinthians 4:16
Therefore we do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day.
Bible clearly says It is the inward man that is in Christ Jesus; therefore it is the inward man that is made a new creature in Christ.
All things have become new in the inward man.
That means the sin nature in our spirits has been done away with. It’s gone.
The man on the inside has become a new man in Christ and has a new nature – the nature of God.
We have the nature of God in our inward man.
As Christians we always have to deal with the flesh and we have to keep it under the dominion of our spirit.
1 Corinthians 9:27
Instead, I discipline my body and bring it under strict control, so that after preaching to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
We have to crucify the flesh; that means we must keep the flesh under.
God is not going to do that for us.
Crucifying the flesh hurts doesn’t it?
But we must present our bodies as a living sacrifice
Romans 12:1-2
Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
