In this grace period Jesus is talking to us from Matthew 6:24
24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
We cannot serve two masters. Do not forget there are only two kingdoms one is the Kingdom of God and the other is the Kingdom of Satan, kingdom of light and kingdom of darkness.
You can belong to one and you cannot belong to both.
No one can serve two masters. We are always trying to balance between the two masters and the Bible says we cannot serve two masters you will ove one and hate the other. You will be devoted to one and despise the other.
Who is our master today? Is Jesus is our master or Satan is our master.
You might say Jesus is the master but before you say examine your ways whom are we obeying.
Romans 6:16 – 16Don’t you know that if you offer yourselves to someone as obedient •slaves, you are slaves of that one you obey — either of sin leading to death or of obedience leading to righteousness?
We have been offering ourselves to one of the master whom are we offering ourselves to it is either God or Satan.
Many times we are trying to please both Sunday we are trying to please God and the whole week we are trying to please Satan and it is not going to work out.
We cannot serve two masters.
2 Kings 22:11 – 13 – 11 When the king (Josiah) heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his robes. 12 He gave these orders to Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam son of Shaphan, Akbor son of Micaiah, Shaphan the secretary and Asaiah the king’s attendant:13 “Go and inquire of the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah about what is written in this book that has been found. Great is the Lord’s anger that burns against us because those who have gone before us have not obeyed the words of this book; they have not acted in accordance with all that is written there concerning us.”
When Josiah heard that he tore his clothes and repented. It was not a fiery message from Elijah but it was just reading because We understand that we cannot serve two masters at the same time.
We cannot be like luke warm state. We cannot be in God and also in the world. We should make a decision today.
1 kings 18:21 – Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.” But the people said nothing.
Today we have many people who have been wavering between two opinions in everything they are not sure of what they are doing they are only wavering between two opinions.
Elijah cries out If the Lord is God follow him, but if Baal is God follow him.
Today many Christians are still running from pillar to post for blessing. Why are u running like you do not have God among us. Still people see seasons, days good days and bad days and seeing time. Is our God limited to time.
If God is bound to time – He is not God at all.
Today we serve a God of Eternity, HE is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end and why are we limiting God to your time frame.
Do not be people who are trying to serve two masters.
