Worship cleans the source of life.

Passage: Proverbs 4:20-24
20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.
23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.
24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you.

We are always dealing with the fruit of the problem but we neglect the root of the problem. The fruit is the outcome of root, we forget it and we think only about it.

Today many people are struggling with addictions, problems, anger, bitterness, resentment & short temper. All these are the outcome or result of what is happening inside.

Bible says, your heart is the source of life.

 Knowing the heart of God

We have been learning about worship from last three weeks and today we will learn deeper things about worship.

As we have learnt worship is spiritual act and it must be done in spirit and in truth. John 4:24. They that worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.

Today we will see what worship does to us.
True worship is not something that can occur for 1 hour, 1 day a week on Sunday. True worship is a lifestyle. It is day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. It is a continual attitude towards God of love, praise, reverence, devotion, adoration, obedience, thankfulness, honor, submission, sacrifice, prayer, exaltation, admiration, confession, and more. We are grateful for His presence in our lives, for His unchanging nature, for keeping His promises, for His unceasing love and grace, for saving us, for His faithfulness.

True worship requires humility. God hates pride.
True worship and pride cannot exist together. God gives grace to the humble.

God said that David was a man after His own heart (Acts 13:22 –  And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.)

God called David man after His own heart because we saw that David was constantly worshipping the Lord.

Everytime we worship with the right attitude of worship we touch the heart of God, we don’t just touch the heart of God but we also know the heart of God and not only that our heart becomes like Him.

The more we commune with a person, the more we become like them in the same way the more we worship, the more we know about the heart of God.

Before we go further into worship what does Bible talks about it we will see in Rom 11:36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Worship was created For Him, through Him and to Him.

David constantly worshipped the Lord and we saw that David worship was For Him, through Him and to Him.

Many times we have worshipped for us, through us and to us.
We are so self-centered that we forget the main essence of worship. Worship can never be complete without Jesus in our lives, without His name being glorified and His glory shone upon us.

We are worshipping but is our face shone like Moses after worship or is it the same even after worship.

David was transformed after every worship, Every person who worshipped after worship because after worship we know the heart of God.

After worship if we are still like Jacob then something went wrong.
After worship if we are still hating and living with unforgiveness then we are not worshipping God in the right way.
