Act 6:1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.

Those days what was happening in those days let us see –
Acts 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Aren’t we having the same situation today?
Tuesday – Women’s meeting & Village ministry, Wednesday – Knowing the Truth, Thursday – Song practice – Men’s meeting, Friday – Spiritual warfare, Saturday – Uth, teens, ministry outing, ministry meet. Sunday – all services.

Aren’t we meeting almost every day.

Number of the disciples was multiplied – We are also seeing the numbers being multiplied.
With the numbers multiplying, the problems grow,
with the numbers increasing, the murmuring increase,
with the numbers increasing, the handling problem arises.

So they had a complaint – that widows were neglected.
so ask in our church the old people have the same point that they are neglected, youth have the same thing they are neglected, children have the same thing, they are neglected, women they say they are neglected.

So what is our Church scenario.
Our number has increased and problems also increased.

So what did the early church do.

Act 6:2  Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.

Act 6:3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

Look the qualities that are needed in the elders or the responsible men.
Honest, full of Holy Ghost, wisdom.

Act 6:4  But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

Act 6:5  And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

Act 6:6  Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.

Act 6:7  And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Three things that happened:
Word of God increased that should be our first goal not that Naveen should increase or ministry should be increased but the Word of God should increase
Disciples multiplied greatly – we want to see that perishing souls should know God more
Obedient to faith – obedience should increase.

It did not stop there look what happened –

Act 6:8  And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

Among the seven who were selected to do the work of the Church one person name Stephen did great wonders and miracles.

Leaders, Elders and Men of God don’t be saying that what I thought ministry means I will be allowed to preach, sing or lead but why am I given this small work. Men raise up to spiritual standards, we cannot see our younger generation perishing. We cannot see Satan playing around in front of our eyes, spoiling the lives of people, spoiling families.

Let us raise up and raise our standards of our living. Let us have the qualities of the men that were selected during that time.

God will surely use all of us in His kingdom but before let us focus on the qualities that are needed as men of God.

Honest, full of Holy Ghost, wisdom.

This will be our vision for the coming
