Many times we see people growing spiritually and strong. We will see from outside and think they are really strong from inside but that might not be the fact, they might be just living a life of decay from within.

A tree that grows tall and strong will not be known about its strength until and unless there is a huge wind.

Today many are not struggling from outside but they are struggling from inside.

Outside they might be like the fig tree with full leaves but no fruits at all in Matt 21:18-19. Jesus saw the fig tree with leaves but not a fruit.

Anytime you are stagnant in a place for too long you start decaying.

Today in spiritual life they have become stagnant and there is no growth except to decay.

Let us take an example of iron – as long as iron is used it is very powerful and it can be used but the moment the iron is kept without usage it starts rusting.

Today many are decaying with various reasons.

People start behaving abnormally or acting weird or getting angry for no reasons tit shows that they are decaying from within.

It is a dangerous sign that we need to move from that place of being stagnant.

What was the best quality you had and what situation changed your quality?

If you say the best quality was to be good but if you say so and so person or do and do situation changed you then you need to deal with that because that was your decaying moment.

Today we find people in a decayed stage and still decaying. Some of the reason why we might be decayed are:

Anger – Matthew 5:21-22

21 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother[a] will be liable to judgment; whoever insults[b] his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell[c] of fire.

Your anger over anyone in heart might be taking through a process of decay that is the reason in Eph 4:26 it says be angry but sin not, let not the sun go down on your wrath.

Gen 4:5 – Cains anger made him decay from within and we know it made Cain kill Abel.

Jealousy.

We all know Joseph’s brother jealousy made them decay so much that they started to hate Joseph and they killed Joseph.

Passion for lust.

Samsons passion for lust made him decay that he forgot his calling and went behind lust.
