First thing that we all learnt last week is to accept ourself our responsibilities and our weaknesses. Accepting ourself is the greatest gift that we can give to ourself.

This week we will be learning about accepting others.

1Co 12:11  But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
1Co 12:12  For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
1Co 12:13  For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
1Co 12:14  For the body is not one member, but many.
1Co 12:15  If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
1Co 12:16  And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
1Co 12:17  If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
1Co 12:18  But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
1Co 12:19  And if they were all one member, where were the body?
1Co 12:20  But now are they many members, yet but one body.
1Co 12:21  And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
1Co 12:22  Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
1Co 12:23  And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
1Co 12:24  For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
1Co 12:25  That there should be no schism (split) in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
1Co 12:26
And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

First thing is we need to accept ourselves the way we are and our responsibility.

1 Cor 12:11 -20 – We find that we need to accept ourselves and the role that God has given us on this earth. Do not think what role I play in the Church. I am not even taking any part in the Church activities. God has ordained you for a specific purpose at the specific time. We all make the Church.

Second things is, it talks about we need to accept others as they are and their responsibility.

1 Cor 11:21- 24

We all are designed for a particular role and a purpose that we all need to fulfill. We are all placed in a church for a reason that cannot be altered. God has a definite plan and purpose in everybody’s life. It is in God’s time everything starts getting unfolded.

Here in the passage it is so clear that we all need all parts of the body so that we all can rejoice. When all parts of our body is functioning properly we rejoice but when one part of the body is troubled the whole body is troubled.

We need to accept everyone the way they are some people are very talkative and while some are silent, some are obedient and while some are naughty, some are smart and while some are not that smart we need to accept each and everyone.

With all the parts one body is made, in the same way Church also is  made up with many parts and many people and when the Church cannot accept one another then there will be confusion it will be like hand hitting leg and leg kicking self and so on. Do not forget if any part is hurt the whole body is hurt.

1Co 12:25  That there should be no schism (split) in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

We all need to have same care for one another. That is what is missing.
we are quick to judge others, we are quick to find fault in someone do not forget when we trying to judge or find fault in others we are in-turn judging and finding fault in our own self.

1Co 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

This passage let us all follow.
Many have the idea that – see that person is honored more than me but if I ask you which part of the body is more important. We will tell all parts are important.
if we go bit more deeper and say which part is not important let us remove it you will surely tell no I need all parts of the body. In the same way Church is made up of different parts let us not be jealous when someone is getting name as the verse says if one member suffers all the members suffer with it. Suffering we all suffer with it.

When one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

Let us keep away our jealousy, selfishness and arrogance and let us start accepting one another as they are because only when we can accept we can live in peace if we do not accept we will always go through rough times and difficult times.

Thirdly it talks about something important aspect that we all need to know.

There should be no split in the body. We should all have the same care for one another.
When one member suffers all the members suffer with it, or one member honored then all the members rejoice with it.
